LIQUICA SALT MAKING

	After low tide this woman collects salt off the soil in the salt flats.		The salty soil is then mixed with water and poured into these filters.
	The water first goes through a sieve and then flows across Sago Palm leaves.		The remaining soil collects into the folds of the palm leaves and the concentrated salt water drips into a hollowed out log.
	The salty water is then cooked to evaporate the water from the solution.		Finally, the remaining salt paste is drained in handmade baskets, leaving salt crystals to be sold on the side of the road.
